This is the ad that a few of us from EtsyNJ.com put together for the Handmade Faire : Summer of Love event. It went into the magazine and vendor map that supports By Hand Traditionally.

On Becoming a Beekeeper
Well, the day is finally here. Mike Long from Uriah Creek Apiary brought 3 beehives to the Lighthouse Center for Natural Resource Education. He'll be the master beekeeper teaching me how to handle the hives and take care of the bees.
Looks like it's going to be interesting!

Chester Cipilewski for Sheriff
My cousin, Chet, was surprised to get a telephone call recently in support of his run for Sheriff of Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. I offered to help him by donating the website design and hosting for his campaign website.
We had not seen each other for over 30 years and have been communicating by email for a few years now. I have followed his life and career through my relationship with his father (the love of my life) and his step-mother before they left this life and went to heaven to be with my Mom.
This week my friend and I drove to Scranton to join Chet and his friends and supporters for his "official" campaign Kick Off.
It was wonderful to see him.

New Jersey Quail Project Folks
Here we are at Waste Management in Gloucester City. The preserved area near the plant is receiving much needed maintenance and stewardship helping to improve the habitat for Northern bobwhite quail and other upland bird species.
What a great group!

Busy Busy Busy
Well, I'm busy at the Lighthouse Camp with projects and plans. That's always nice but I can't believe that the Handmade Faire is right around the corner followed closely by Music By the Bay. October and November are going to FLY!
It's really exciting that Dwain Wilder will be joining us for MBTB and bringing his beautiful and wonderful sounding dulcimers. He will be opening the concert with some of his poems. I think he'll be truly inspired to write when he sees how beautiful the facility is!
Lots of really great workshops and since we have Pat Augustine catering for us this year. I can actually lead a workshop on website promotion and building.
However, tomorrow I'll be at the Forestry Resource Education Center's Fall Festival demonstrating basket-making which is always a lot of fun. I'll get to see some old friends and make some new ones.
On Sunday, Neil (my grandson) and I will be at the Cattus Island Festival with some EBB-wear for sale and talking up the music festival. So if you are in the area, please stop by to see me.

Music By the Bay - 11/7-9/08
It's almost time for the music weekend -- just put the registration form online and am ready to start the push for registration. In fact, I already have some that have come in. Postcards will be going in the mail early next week and we're getting a listing in Dulcimer Players News. You can check the postcard out online at the website.
This event is going to be so much fun and it will benefit By Hand Traditionally - which is really exciting.
